Clarkston, GA – On Wednesday, February 14, at 10:30 a.m., the Coalition of Refugee Service Agencies (CRSA) will host a “Georgia Loves Refugees” themed press conference at the Clarkston Community Center’s Angora Hall to release the much-anticipated 2017 CRSA Annual Report. The CRSA invites media representatives to learn about the CRSA Annual Report and to engage with a refugee community panel whose members highlight refugee economic contributions, educational achievements, and civic participation.

Georgia’s economy is growing, and refugees play a large role in that growth. The refugee program in Georgia builds on our collective history of creating welcoming communities for all people and Georgia’s history as the birthplace of the Civil Rights movement. The CRSA seeks to showcase the contributions and successes of the refugee community here in Georgia.

The 2017 Annual Report is a compilation of facts about refugees and immigrants from the 18 member agencies and highlights the partnerships with communities, businesses, and neighbors across Georgia. In addition to a presentation by CRSA Chair Emily Laney, a refugee community panel will share their experiences.

The press conference is open to all invited media guests. Please RSVP to Victoria.huynh@cpacs.org by Friday, February 9, 2018. Refreshments will be served.
