Now that the U.S. House passed the following two bills we need to get ahead of the message to our two Senators before they come up for a vote in the U.S. Senate.

No Sanctuary for Criminals Act (H.R. 3003) would punitively withhold federal funding for cities with community trust policies (such as non-detainment or sanctuary policies) in place.

Kate’s Law (HR 3004) would expand the federal government’s ability to prosecute individuals for “illegal reentry” and impose even more severe penalties in these cases.

Please call Senator Isakson at 770 661-0999 and state….. My name is (Your Name) and I am a constituent calling from (Your City). Please let the Senator know I am disappointed in the passage of the anti-immigrant bills H.R. 3003 and H.R. 3004 through the House. Please ask the Senator to take a vocal and public stance against both of these bills as they enter the Senate and declare his opposition to them as inhumane and anti-American. Thank you.

After calling please send an email to Senator Isakson with the following (or a personal version of it) with the drop down menu topic “Immigration” and the subject line “H.R. 3003 and H.R. 3004”:

Senator,

I was disappointed to see the passage of the anti-immigrant bills H.R. 3003 and H.R. 3004 through the House. As they enter the Senate please take a vocal and public stance against both of these bills and declare your opposition to them as inhumane and anti-American.

I support the welcoming of refugees and immigrants into the U.S. and Georgia and expect you as my elected representative to the U.S. Senate to reflect those same ideals.

Thank You,

Your Name
