Yesterday during their meeting scheduled each week when the Georgia General Assembly is in session the DeKalb Delegation, a caucus like group made up of sixteen (16) state representatives who represent any portion of DeKalb County in the Georgia House, welcomed the Coalition of Refugee Service Agencies as their lunch hosts and speakers. As always most members of the group were very welcoming and supportive of refugee resettlement and embrace DeKalb County and Georgia’s diversity.
Please take a moment today, even if you do not live in DeKalb County, to send the delegation an email thanking them for inviting us to speak to the group and for their ongoing commitment to welcoming refugees and immigrants into the state.
Please contact the members of the delegation with an email. In the “to” column cut and paste:

Members of the DeKalb Delegation,
Thank you very much for inviting the Coalition of Refugee Service Agencies to your weekly meeting yesterday. I welcome all newcomers, including refugees and immigrants, to Georgia and to my community and thank you for also reflecting those same ideals.
