Please take a moment to call and email Senator Perdue and let him know that you are disappointed in his sponsorship with Senator Cotton of Arkansas of the Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment Act (RAISE Act) released earlier today.

Please call Senator Perdue at 404 865 0087 and state…..

Please tell the Senator that I am profoundly disappointed in his sponsorship of the misguided and counterproductive Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment Act (RAISE Act). It is deeply un-American to shut the door to refugees and immigrants.

After calling (or if you do not call still send the email anyway) send an email to Senator Perdue with the following (or a personal version of it) and the subject line “Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment Act (RAISE Act)”:

Senator,

I am deeply disappointed in your introduction of the Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment Act (RAISE Act). This bill is very much misguided and counterproductive. Slamming the doors on refugees and immigrants is fundamentally un-American and ignores the tenets of who we are as a nation and the history of our founding. The United States is a country of immigrants with a long, proud history of providing safe refuge for the world’s most vulnerable fleeing conflict and persecution and our country has benefited tremendously, not only economically but also culturally, socially and in every aspect of our society, by every immigrant who has arrived.

Please withdraw this bill as soon as possible.
