Please join the International Rescue Committee in Atlanta on Thursday February 2, 2017 to welcome the arrival of the IRC in Atlanta’s final refugee family before the executive order actions are fully implemented – barring entry of any additional refugees into the United States for 120 days.
Please take a moment this morning to call and email Senator Isakson, Senator Perdue and your congressman and ask him (because none of them are female) to join The International Rescue Committee in Atlanta to take a public stance in supporting refugees at the airport this evening at 7:00 p.m.

Please call both Senators and your congressman and state…..
Please ask the Senator/Congressman to join me at the Atlanta airport this evening at 7:00 p.m. to welcome the last refugees allowed to find a safe haven from persecution in this country and to take a public stance in defiance of President Trump’s inhumane executive orders.
After calling (or if you do not call still send the email anyway) send an email to both Senators and your Congressman with the following (or a personal version of it) and the subject line “Support Refugees at the Airport Tonight”:
Tonight our state and country will be closing its doors to those seeking refuge from persecution. This is possibly the darkest day in our history since June 2, 1939 when the transatlantic liner St. Louis, with 908 passengers fleeing Nazi Germany, was refused entry into Miami. This is not who we are as Americans nor as human beings.
Please join me and a group of concerned Georgians this evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Atlanta Airport to welcome the final family arriving into our state to take a public stance against the oppressive actions taken by the White House to close our borders.
I look forward to seeing you there,
Remember to change Your Name to your name.
